Behind the Scenes 1 - ESPN/SAVANNAH BANANAS (Mini Doc)

Here are some behind the scenes images from the mini documentary Moon Rabbit Media produced for ESPN SportsCenter about the Savannah Bananas. This was a very exciting project for us to be a part of. Each day we were out on location filming we never knew what to expect next from the Bananas their performances were amazing and they were and endless stream of entertainment and interesting things to film. The players, coaches, fans, and owner were all great on and off camera.

HAPPY CHUSEOK (2021) FROM MOON RABBIT MEDIA!

Moon Rabbit Media wishes everyone a Happy Chuseok!

Chuseok, or “Autumn Eve”, is a harvest holiday celebrated in Korea, during which everyone visits their hometowns and feasts on traditional Korean dishes. It is a three-day holiday that falls on the harvest moon. The folklore attributed to the moon conveys a story of the moon rabbit who works hard making rice cakes, a staple of the Korean harvest. The rice cakes it makes symbolize the celebration of a bountiful Mid-Autumn harvest, along with good wishes and dreams.

Council of Dads - Still Imagery

Here are a few still images taken by Moon Rabbit Media’s Seth F. Johnson from NBC’s Council of Dads season one. Seth worked throughout the series creating still imagery to be used as marketing materials and promotional imagery. Moon Rabbit Media’s Director of Photography Beau Bellanich also worked on the series on the camera team.

Seth and Beau are pictured in the first image in this gallery of the Camera Team. Seth (second from the left) Beau (front, red shirt).

Crew - Beau Bellanich - Director of Photography / Steadicam Operator

Here is an amazing still image of Moon Rabbit Media’s Director of Photography Beau Bellanich running A Camera Steadicam for the show he is currently working on.

It is Beau’s belief that a story can be told a thousand different ways, and it is up to filmmakers to make it brilliant, bring it alive, and present it in a way that captivates the audience. He thinks a story should be portrayed so that reality is lost and it is only the audience and the story taking them on an adventure.

At Moon Rabbit Media we really enjoy a challenge.

Moon Rabbit Media just wrapped on a fantastic beauty shoot here in Savannah, GA.

Shooting beauty comes with its own set of challenges, which made this a very interesting and technical shoot. Not only did we have to make sure our model looked great and had perfectly lit skin, we also had to make sure the footage we produced was 100 percent color accurate and would match up perfectly with the corresponding shades and products.

At Moon Rabbit Media we really enjoy a challenge, so this was a very exciting day for us!

Here are some stills of our crew members: Director Seth F. Johnson, Producer Scott Johnson, Gaffer Kody Cunningham, and Script Supervisor Colleen E. Jones.

Crew - Andrew Jones - Sound Mixer / Boom Operator

Moon Rabbit Media would like to congratulate our Sound Mixer Andrew Jones who returned home this fall to work on the set of Servant Season 2 an Apple + TV series created by M. Night Shyamalan and shot in Philadelphia, PA. Andrew who is originally from Philly was an ideal candidate for this show and had to quarantine for two and a half months while working on the series. We are very glad that he made it through without a hitch and are sure he is enjoying some well deserved R&R before our next big shoot.

It is also worth noting that we have told Andrew for years that he looks just like Rupert Grint and on this show, they finally got to work together!

Sun up to sun down, Moon Rabbit Media will get the job done.

When you hire Moon Rabbit Media you have us for the whole day. We always tell our clients they have us for twelve hours or until the job is done.

On our recent shoot for Cooper Productions & Management, we filmed on their Beaulieu property for a location showreel and were able to really maximize the day filming interviews, drone footage, and b-roll. Sun up to sun down, Moon Rabbit Media will get the job done.

Beaulieu is an upcoming venue/location that will be available to rent for events, weddings, and the film & television industry. We really enjoyed filming the main house, marsh, and live oak trees on the property—it really is a magical place.

Here are some stills of our crew members: Director Seth F. Johnson, Producer Scott Johnson, Sound Mixer Henry Godwin, and Script Supervisor Colleen E. Jones.

Stills - Stratton Leopold

We recently spoke with Stratton Leopold at a screening of his film The Mosquito Coast (1986) starring Harrison Ford, Helen Mirren, and River Phoenix.

We asked Stratton about any tips he may have for producing your first feature film, something that Moon Rabbit Media is currently laying the groundwork to do. Stratton was a wealth of knowledge and an inspiration.

Stratton is a living legend here in Savannah and has produced films like Mission Impossible III (2006), The Sum of All Fears (2002), The General’s Daughter (1999) and has worked as a production manager for films like Captain America: The First Avenger (2011), The Wolfman (2010), and Star Trek (2009).

Gear - Sony Alpha 7R III & 7III

These two Sony Alpha cameras make a fantastic A and B camera. The A7R III is an amazing camera and with its 42MP Full-Frame Exmor R BSI CMOS Sensor, it is the perfect camera to use for video as well as breakaway photoshoots on set. The A7 III has a 693-Point Hybrid AF System which is seriously impressive. Both cameras shoot a 4K30p Video with HLG & S-Log3 Gammas. We also use a custom Cine 3 profile that We have been very happy with over the years.

Seen pictured are the Sony FE 70-200mm f/2.8 GM OSS Lens (white) and the Sony FE 24-70mm f/2.8 GM Lens. Both lenses are extremely fast and are able to shoot at a f/2.8 which is perfect for low light situations. In the G Master series, we also have the Sony FE 16-35mm f/2.8 GM Lens which is the perfect lens for shooting establishing shots and anything Architectural. All three of these lenses have zero chromatic aberration and handle lens flaring in a way that is truly impressive.

On top of the cameras are two of the SmallHD Focus monitors. These monitors come equipped with lots of amazing features like focus peaking, histograms, and can even power the cameras. These monitors help us to ensure that our footage is razor-sharp and perfectly exposed every time.

Both cameras are kept safe in the Small Rig QR Half Cage. This is our favorite cage for the Alpha cameras and is super convenient also how can you not love those beautiful wooden side handles.

This is just a small peek at some of the equipment Moon Rabbit Media has to offer. We also have lens kits, tripods, lighting kits, grip equipment, drones, Ronins, 4K Editing Bay, and much more.
